Sprint Issues PRL 50562 & 60662

Sprint has issued two new PRLs for modern Sprint phones; PRL 50562 and 60662.

The PRL, or Preferred Roaming List is a file inside of CDMA phones that manages roaming and data network authentication. Originally intended for improving the acquisition time of tower signals, the file now also handles EVDO and data roaming functionality as well. As such, it is recommended all customers update when a new PRL is issued.

While both PRL 50562 and 60662 appear to be more minor updates from the preceding 50560 and 60660, keeping them up to date is always recommended by Sprint. To update your phone, use the Update PRL setting or call *2 to have your account manually flagged for update.
